It's strange to come back to this game.

I listen to TLoU's OST fairly often, having blended its contents into my music library. I think it's safe to say that I'm used to it by now. Even so, upon loading up the game and seeing/hearing that main menu for the first time since I put it down, something happened.

It was like walking through a place--an old school, for instance--that you used to know very well. One step into the halls, and you're stepping through time. You see the layout, remember the nuances, hear the echoes. Down the stairs and to the left is the cafeteria. Select brings up the crafting menu. The door leading to the stairwell is faulty, and you have to lift it a bit when you're pushing or pulling to open it. Weapons are so hard to aim without upgrading their stability. Over there's where you'd all hang out before the bell swept you away. Henry and Sam.

Everything about the game came flooding back, and I had to take a few minutes to soak it all in before diving into Left Behind. That experience alone makes all of the trouble this game has given me all worth it.

Thanks to my brother for letting me borrow his PS3 to play this (my console is dead again). Hopefully this was worth the wait.

Part two coming soon.
