To pass this part, you have to:
The Outskirts: Outside
- Help Tess lead Ellie out of the city by going through the north tunnel.
- After going through the north tunnel, head outside.
- You'll find yourself being chased by the soldiers. Make your way through the sewers.
- Use the surroundings as cover to pass through the soldiers.
- Once you get past the soldiers, head for the warehouse.
- Gather supplies inside and exit the warehouse.
The Outskirts: Downtown
- Cut through downtown to get to the Capitol Buiding
- If you find yourself unable to cross downtown, head for the abandoned building.
- Get inside the building and look around for supplies.
- Head upstairs and check the room with a body blocking it. Pass through the narrow path.
- You will find an open room with a ledge. This will help give Tess a boost.
- Slip past through the Clicker then head for the stairwell.
- Head downstairs, then follow Tess outside the edge of the building to cross.
- Clear the area of Runners and Clickers.
- After clearing the area, head up to the other room.
- Go down by using the ruins then head for the subway.
- Exit the subway station.
The Outskirts: Museum
- Find an object that you can use to lift yourself over the truck.
- Head for the closed roll-up door then open it.
- After the cutscene, you can now upgrade your weapons at a safe zone.
- Exit the safe zone then head up to find a way out.
- Go through the narrow path. Let Tess and Ellie use the plank.
- Make your way back to Ellie and Tess.
- At the end of the hallway, you will see a double door. Go through it.
- Head upstairs after hearing a commotion
- Rescue Tess and Ellie.
- Exit through the broken window then go to the roof.
- Find a plank to get across the building.
The Outskirts: Capitol Building
- Follow Tess on the way to Capitol Building.
- After the cutscene, exit through the back of the building then go upstairs.
- Jump across the other building.
- Make your way to the hallway.
- Go to the end of the hallway and head downstairs.
- You will be chased by the soldiers. You can slip past through or eliminate them.
- Exit the Capitol Building then head through the subway.
- Follow the train tracks.
- Swim through the area to find your way out.
- Find a platform for Ellie to cross and get you to the ladder.
- Exit the subway station.
