About The Last of Us:
The Last of Us is a narrative driven, zombie survival game that follows the journey of Joel Miller, 20 years after The Outbreak, when the infection began to spread and the world turned into what it is today. After losing his daughter during Outbreak Day, he has become a ruthless killer who will do anything to survive and has little care for anyone but himself and his partner in crime Tess. They take on a job that involves smuggling a little girl out of Boston QZ that could lead to the fireflies (A militia group that was created to oppose FEDRA, a goverment group that rules the QZ's) creating a vaccine or a cure that could save humanity. The girl is named Ellie and over time, the two learn to care for each other and have been through hell and back. When he's faced with her possible death, he puts a stop to it and kills the only doctor that was able to make the cure and a whole bunch of fireflies, including the Queen Firefly and he runs away with her to Jackson, where Joel's brother Tommy, has an entire community that they can join.
2 years later Ellie has discovered that Joel lied all this time and refuses to talk to him, leaving both Ellie and Joel in a weird spot and it takes a toll on the both of them. 2 years after that moment, Ellie is ready to forgive him and look past it all but he's then taken away from her by a girl named Abby, daughter of the doctor Joel killed 4 years prior. This leaves Ellie to go on a revenge trip that costs her a lot and demanded great sacrifices from her and others. Even when she was able to leave it all in the past and continued her life with her partner Dina and their baby, JJ, her PTSD and Tommy's hunger for revenge, drove her over the line once more and she went after Abby for one last time. Once she found her strung up on some beach by The Rattlers, a new faction, she releases her and they have one final fight that leads to neither of them dying but rather Ellie let's her go because if she continues to kill Abby, the cycle won't stop as someone will come after her. She goes back to the Farm where she and Dina stayed all this time but it's now empty. The guitar and only item that was once Joel's is now unplayable after losing two of her fingers. She decides to forgive and accept her loss and leaves the guitar behind and walks away to a place us fans have yet to discover.
