This is my personal review for The Last of Us. Wow, did this game take the gaming world by storm. Probably the most hyped game to come out the ps3 this year and it got perfect scores from gaming critics everywhere. Well most official gaming critics. I even heard quite a few people saying that this is the best game to come out this year, heck heard a few people calling this the game of the decade. Not to mention the game was sold out practically everywhere as well on its release date. Heck, I had to phone like 5 or 6 ebgames to find a copy of the game just one day after it was released. That's something alright. But the ultimate question is, do I think it lives up to the hype? Well after doing a playthrough of the game, I believe I can give my review of the game so without further adeu, let's begin. The last of Us is an action adventure game with horror elements that was developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony. It is only available on the PS3.

Summary:

So in the end, do I think the Last of Us deserve the amount of praise that it's getting. Well, it's certainly an extremely well made game and I can certainly see why people consider it their GOTY with its fantastic production values, the storytelling and characterization being equally as fantastic as the production values, and the gameplay is engaging and have an atmosphere of dread to it as you face the various hunters and infected which really compliment well to the story that The Last of Us was going for. The cons of the game is that I did found the plot to be predictable to me, the platforming parts of the game are pretty boring and is basically just filler, and the very lenient checkpoint system which in turn game probably doesn't affect me as much as other people that I know but it's pretty easy to tell why people do gush over it.
