*Warning! - I may rant on about the story in the description so be aware there might be spoilers there if you read through it.*

The Last Promise was created by Blazer and is a hack for Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword. This hack is a full length adventure filled with danger, some new items & classes as well as music, and a very well balanced difficulty curve.

You can head to the following site to keep up with the latest news regarding the hack and download the latest version of it:

ROM should be easy enough to find on your own.

Well now, here's something a bit different than my usual outings. This is a pretty damned fun hack and I'd thought I show off the game here to keep myself entertained for awhile, heh.

Anyways, the story kicks off about as well as it sounds. People warping into castles isn't exactly the highly held sign of things ending well.

Fast forward to a village on the edge of wherever. A father and his son find themselves besieged by a small party from Magnus, the main badguy faction of the story.

Now then...battle time!

Pretty simple map as you would expect. Shon can abuse forests to minimize the chances he gets hit and Siegfried can help mop up if desired.

The thing is, there's a Prologue part 2 you can access. You unlock it by having Shon solo the entire map. Siegfried cannot engage the enemy in any fashion, even as a meatshield if you give his stuff to Shon.

It's not as bad as you might think. It takes a bit of time, but Shon can kill everything on the map long before running out of Vulneraries if you hide him in the forests before he attacks anything.

Do make sure to have Sieg go visit the village (Just wait on the tile there). You'll pick up a few useful items as a result (Iron Sword, Vulnerary, and 1000 gold).

As for the boss...nothing that Shon can't handle, but he will need his Piercing Sword to do any noticable damage to him. You may also need to use a Vulnerary before engaging him to ensure Shon can survive.

Prologue part 2 is nothing special, just smack Corben a couple times with the Piercing Sword and you will be just fine.

Shon got a few nice level ups here so no complaining from me.
