*Warning! - I may rant on about the story in the description so be aware there might be spoilers there if you read through it.*

The Last Promise was created by Blazer and is a hack for Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword. This hack is a full length adventure filled with danger, some new items & classes as well as music, and a very well balanced difficulty curve.

You can head to the following site to keep up with the latest news regarding the hack and download the latest version of it:

ROM should be easy enough to find on your own.

More Magnian force routing, now with them getting support from some Taos.

This is a pretty tricky chapter. Much like chapter 4, there's a ton of nomads you'll be smacked with off the bat so Inanna's once again kinda useless early on except for one very important task she's gonna help Shon with.

Also, a few enemies carry killer weaponry. Lovely.

The poison weapons aren't that much of a threat since poison doesn't do nearly enough damage to be a concern, just a minor annoyance.

Starting this map off, there's a new character joining our ranks, Cia. She's the first mage and not a bad endgame choice, but her skill tends to lag behind the rest of her stats. Her low HP & Def mean you'll need to be very very careful if you plan to have her attack anything.

Best way to open this map is to have Siegfried or anyone that has good attack power & defense to go down the middle bridge. Even better if he or she can equip a Javelin to counter the nomads. Send your next best defensive character west across that bridge.

As for the eastern bridge, you can do what I did and plant that Light Rune from the previous chapter on it so any enemies that wanted to cross it will now have to go to the middle one most likely.

On the 2nd turn, the Nomad Trooper leader will likely be in range. This is why having Siegfried go to the center or left bridge is preferred because the Nomad Trooper will go through the water and attack your squishies if it is not dead by the end of this turn. Siegfried, if he's gotten some favorable level ups, can one round this critter with Nothung or severly injure it with any other weapon so your other characters can finish it off. It also drops an Angelic Robe upon its defeat. Angelic Robes have been slightly nerfed in this hack, only boosting HP by 5 compared to 7 in Blazing Sword, but it's still a damn good boost regardless.

Once the initial horde is silenced, this map is basically won.

As for Inanna & Shon, have Inanna pick up Shon and fly her to the small island just north of the SE corner of the map and place Shon down somewhere where he can move on the SE part of the map. By waiting on the small island, an NPC and a new character join in. The new character will try to make his way to Shon and speak to him, thereby giving you another character, Noah.

Noah is a Hero and thusly not going to be getting much exp in part 1, but his stats will make sure he can help out in an emergency.

Now, the secondary goal of this map is to complete it in 17 turns while visiting all of the houses in order to access 7x. There are 6 houses in total. Three of them are around the island where the boss is and the rest are on the island he's sitting in. So long as you don't dawdle, the time limit should not pose a problem here.

As for the boss...not too bad, but he's fairly strong and speedy so keep an eye out for that.

Siegfried continues to get some nice level ups here I must say.
