Project Development: Paramount Pictures is developing an R-rated live-action movie adaptation of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic, 'The Last Ronin'.
Film Rating: The movie will have an R-rating to tackle the depiction of inherently violent weapons like katanas more realistically.
Storyline: 'The Last Ronin' features a dystopian future where only one of the Ninja Turtles survives, inspired by the video game 'God of War'.
Source Material: The movie is based on the 'The Last Ronin' comics by TMNT creators Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, initially based on a story outline from 1987.
Creative Team: Tyler Burton Smith, known for 'Boy Kills World' and the 'Child's Play' reboot, is writing the script. Walter Hamada, former head of DC Studios, is producing.
