This game is pretty neat, a little indie title you can get on the 3DS E-shop for 3.99. It does a very nice game for the price. People often compare it to Megaman, Gradius, Megamari, etc. The premise is Zizou the Dark Witch needs to find the missing Syega Crystals to save the world. She of course ends up having to confront six lolis with attitude to retrieve the crystals and pick up some powers ala Megaman esque special weapons along the way after defeating a boss.

This is battle with Al on normal mode including the dialogue. She's pretty tough but the main key to this battle is finding the safe spot from her ice orbs attack. Her ice shard shot move is typically jumped over with ease. However when her second phase begins...It gets ugly. She bombards you with a bunch of tiny snowflakes that float around and eventually off screen. Then her most annoying move is when she surrounds you with constant ice, blocking your shots and if you touch the ice you'll be frozen and unable to move until hit again....She can easily get cheap shots on you with this move combined with the ice shards but well timed jumps can spare you. Of course I know this game goes higher than normal but..I'm not ready for that.

Speed and power were what I valued most here. Although maybe you could do it without speed as you can see it just matters when you jump. The ice orb attack is easily dodged every time once you find a safe spot like I did. The longer the battle goes on the nastier it can get in my experience so when in doubt go for power.

Her weakness is apparently Upper Tornado. I did not have it as usual lol.

You'll receive the Divide Ice upon beating her.

Lastly her stage was evil too, until I memorized it. Those flexing fire breathing snowmen, the killer annoying snowflakes that break up and try to hurt you upon being destroyed, the penguin torpedo jerks and those annoying things that try to drop shards of ice on you, the placement on the last one was evil but I have Ground Impact luckily.

I am happy to hear this game is getting a sequel. I hope we'll get it in the West too.
