This speedrun of The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask by sva completes the game in 1 hour 47 minutes 47 seconds. Timing starts when the game file is selected, and ends after Majora's Wrath is killed. It is the current world record in this game.

It's important to note that although the time of this run is 1:47:47, it is actually 5 minutes faster than the previous record by ingx24. ing's record is widely referred to as "1:49", but the reason for this is that it was timed differently (from first control of Link, meaning it omitted the opening cutscene). If both runs were timed in the same way, this run would be 5 minutes faster.

This run was played on the Japanese Virtual Console version of the game. The VC version of the game has less lag and faster loading times than the N64 version. The Japanese version also has some interesting differences from the English releases, specifically these: power crouchstabbing (where your crouchstab has the same damage as the previous attack you did) is in the game, the text speed is slightly faster, the "airsurfing" glitch as a zora doesn't work, and the turtle cutscene skip doesn't work with the Song of Double Time (instead, Link must be buffered into the nearby Zora Hall enterance).
