Linked Playthrough | Part 8: Rescue Nayru & The Oceans
NOTE: Two things. First, if you want more of this, please show your support towards this channel. Second, this is a continuation from my previous playthrough, Oracle of Seasons.
As the Maku Tree has stated, Queen Ambi has left the castle. This may give us an opportunity to free Nayru.
We take that chance and head for the palace. After some puzzle solving, we enter the castle and find Nayru. Veran has possessed her so we need to use Mystery Seeds to stun her. Afterwards use the Switch Hook to get Veran out of her body and go on the attack. Repeat this a few times and Nayru is free.
Nayru is free but Veran unfortunately finds another body to possess: Queen Ambi. She orders her guards to capture them and Nayru uses her powers to escape. With Nayru free, the damage that Veran inflicted in the beginning has been undone. But there's just one problem: Veran has possessed Queen Ambi. The threat isn't over. Ralph decides to head off while Nayru gives Link the Tune of Time. This allows Link to travel back and forward through time at will without the need of time portals. But there's also the matter of Twinrova and if you remember, this is a linked playthrough.
Our next trek takes us to the ocean itself. With the mermaid suit, we need to venture through a poisonous ocean. This also means you need to venture between past and present to even cross. Not pretty I know. Make sure you get a Magic Potion. Why? You'll need it. Trust me. We reach Zora Village and speak to the King who says that the oceans are being inflicted by a poison. It gets worse when we learn that the Great Fairy of the Oceans has turned into an Octorok.
So now we must find a means to save the Great Fairy. We head to a library to obtain the Book of Seals. We then travel to the past and use the book of seals to solve a puzzle to obtain some special fairy powder. Using the powder, the Great Fairy is back to normal. With it, all the damage that Veran inflicted upon the oceans are undone. It also means we can get access to the seventh dungeon, Jabu-Jabu's Belly.
Part 9 is where we tackle it and I swear, it's not going to be pretty to say the least.
