Linked Playthrough | Finale: Defeat Veran and Stop the Revival
NOTE: Two things. First, if you want more of this, please show your support towards this channel. Second, this is a continuation from my previous playthrough, Oracle of Seasons.
With all eight Essences of Time, Link is now ready to take the fight to Veran. The Maku Tree hands him a special item, the Huge Maku Seed that can pierce through Veran's dark magic. But then Twinrova arrives telling Link that the Flame of Sorrow have been lit. At the past, Zelda is with Impa trying to bring hope & that is what Twinrova is waiting for.
He heads back in time only to learn that Ralph has gone on ahead, along with a revelation. Ralph is a descendant of Queen Ambi and should he decide to lay harm upon her, Ralph will no longer exist. So now we have more of an incentive to stop Veran... to prevent a paradox. We head for the Black Tower and as we climb, enemies continues to threaten us. Eventually we reach Ralph who is ready to strike Veran but gets knocked out. Sadly he's unable to do it so now it's up to Link to save her and the world.
The final battle with Veran is a multi-phase fight. Phase 1 is the same as it was in the Castle. Use Mystery Seeds (via Seed Shooter) to knock her out, switch to the Long Hook and then deal damage. Repeat until she goes down. Ambi is free and she departs. So now Veran is ready to bring the pain to Link. This fight is all offense. Bring the pain to her until she goes down. Leave the castle with Ralph and Nayru only for Veran to stop them. Link pushes them out of the way leading to the final fight. Veran turns into a monster so you got to rely on Pegasus Seeds to speed up and dodge her attacks. After a bit, she'll turn into a spider. Use bombs to stun it then attack. It'll revert to its turtle form so the same strategy applies and vice versa until she turns into a bee. Use Pegasus Seeds to speed up then attack. Attack relentlessly.
Veran is defeated but the Flame of Sorrow is now lit. Two flames have been lit and all they need is one more: Despair. Twinrova kidnaps Zelda & plan to use her as the sacrifice needed to resurrect Ganon.
Din and Nayru then use their combined powers to send Link to the Room of Rites. Now begins the TRUE finale to the Oracle duology. This dungeon is set with only one objective: save Zelda. You need to follow the path where the eyes aren't aiming at. Eventually you find Zelda but Koume and Kotake prevent Link from getting her. Now begins the final battle.
You face Koume and Kotake first and your job is to make sure their attacks hit the opposite witch. Red for Kotake and Blue for Koume. Deflect their attacks until they decide to fuse into Twinrova. You need to damage her first then use Scent Seeds to damage her. Repeat until she goes down. With the ritual tampered, they offer themselves to resurrect Ganon. Ganon returns but its nothing but a mindless beast that will constantly attack.
The only advice I can give you is this: attack, attack, attack! Though if you have the Red Ring or Spin Ring, you can deal the most amount of damage. If you have the Master Sword, then you can just attack it. With the Red Ring though, you can deal major damage. Keep on attacking until he goes down. If you have the Blue Ring, you'll do fine. If you have the Potion, you'll do fine.
As Ganon dies, he remembers who he is before finally being extinguished. Link hurries to rescue Zelda as the Room of Rites collapse. The Maku Tree is able to get the two out of there as the worlds of Holodrum and Labrynna are finally free.
Thus Oracle of Ages ends and the duology comes to a close. Combined they deliver what I consider as peak Zelda. Seasons is all action while Ages is all puzzles. Combined, they deliver a fantastic story. I highly recommend playing these games to get the full experience.
