The Legend of Zelda, Part 1 - NES - Twitch Report (Long Play)
The Legend of Zelda on the NES isn’t just a game—it’s the birth of a legend. As Link, a silent hero clad in green, you’re dropped into the vast, mysterious land of Hyrule with one simple goal: recover the scattered pieces of the Triforce of Wisdom and rescue Princess Zelda from the clutches of the evil Ganon.
From the moment you’re told “It’s dangerous to go alone!” and handed your first sword, the game opens into a sprawling world full of secrets, dungeons, monsters, and hidden treasures. Non-linear exploration, cryptic clues, and trial-by-fire combat make every discovery feel earned. Whether bombing suspicious walls or burning bushes to uncover secrets, Zelda rewards curiosity, patience, and courage.
With its iconic music, groundbreaking save system, and unforgettable sense of adventure, The Legend of Zelda redefined what a video game could be. It's not just a quest—it’s a journey that forged a franchise and captured imaginations for generations.
Chaos Note: I decided to stream this, because I have a few friends who are big LoZ fans, and because it had an actual save process for the game. Although, I do find it weird that you either have to have a second controller or unalive yourself to save.
