0Ganon's remains were buried deep within Abyss, within Death Temple, by the Sages of Hyrule. The oppressive and confounding temple was built by Ganon himself, using the power of the Triforce to erect this monument to death, destruction and chaos.
The creatures of the Abyss began to slowly leak into Hyrule when Ganon had been buried, due to the absence of a functioning Triforce. Without the Triforce, Hyrule spiritually decays, resulting in the absence of morality or a sense of good and evil.
