The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker -- #0. Not EXACTLY the Way I Remember It...
This was it. My pick for "celebrating" International Women's Day this year. And it's still technically Women's History Month, so I'm going to just keep pretending like it's relevant as I try to reassert MY relevance to... ... ... myself. Because I'm tired of being a lackaday layabout on my own channel for a change. (Don't worry, it'll pass.)
But wait, you must ask. Why? How? This is... absolutely irrelevant to anything. At all. What the heck are you talking about, crazy lady? (What? You actually said something a lot less polite than "lady"? I object! I have objections!)
...you're right. I should've just played Metroid Prime. That'd have shown 'em. All of 'em! And me! (especially me)

So, yes. This might seem strange and out of place and pointless and... ... ... wait, is that a... number ZERO? So. To top off all my inability to read, write, and otherwise attempt to articulate myself... I can't even do MATH correctly?
Well, isn't that just fulfilling a whole swath of the fun negative stereotypes all at once?
But, no. I swear. It's on the level. I'm serious. And not ENTIRELY factually off-base here. Probably. You might disagree with that, even after I've made my case and all. (W-Wait, there was a case?! ...I'm not prepared! Can I move for a continuance?!)
I'm just... not going to bother getting into any of that. Just yet. I'm going to leave it to the eagle-eyed observer to decide what is amiss here and whether or not it's even remotely worthy of your time.
Because, let's be fair. Many people won't. And while I think the underlying hegemony is IMPORTANT to take and tackle in stride where appropriate and all... I also think that doing so in as overtly abrasive a fashion as possible is also going to defeat your own purpose way faster than those who would be more than willing to do so for you, given the opportunity.
... ... ...was there actually a purpose, then?
Maybe there was. Maybe there wasn't. Maybe a really (REALLY) vocal minority of naysayers will take umbrage with even the utterance of the effort's original intent.
... ... ...
To that, I say. Let's just play some Zelda.
Together.
Every. One.
