The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess - 60 vs 30 FPS - AMD Fluid Motion Frames on Dolphin Emulator
This is a technical demonstration of AMD Fluid Motion Frames in action on the Gamecub / Wii emulator Dolphin with DirectX 11, recording video at 60 FPS. This is limited by both hardware and YouTube constraints, but it includes all on-screen displays (OSD) from Radeon Software and Dolphin.
In this video, AMD Fluid Motion Frames is enabled at 30 FPS on Dolphin, allowing you to perceive up to 60 FPS experience while gaming. You'll to have the chance to see it at 30 FPS, when disabling AFMF.
This feature enables the emulator to run a 30 FPS capped game at 60 FPS (up to) without the need to modify or patch the game. There might be occasional frame rate drops to the native 30 FPS when the character Link freely roams and performs quick movements due to how AFMF operates. Please note that this is a preview driver, and it is hoped that future drivers will address this issue. Nevertheless, gameplay feels considerably smoother with minimal additional input lag.
