On the fifth part of my journey down The Long Drive's long road, it's time to finish looting the bountiful gas station we discovered last time. Starting off, I try to get the bike running, but unfortunately even with a replacement tire the engine is still MIA after the launch. Then I take a look-see at the other cars already parked at the gas station, only to take quite a liking to the shiny orange one with the large gas tank, rear engine, and leather interior. After some debate, I settle on transferring all our goods to the new car, including the trailer hauling the engineless motorcycle. Once everything is packed I return to the open road with a much smoother drive. Unfortunately, the ride proves to be so smooth that the thrill of never knowing when something will break is gone, and my enthusiasm for desert roads fades.
