Let's Play Amnesia: The Dark Descent Ep.05 Bridging The Gap
16On the fifth episode of Let's Play Amnesia: The Dark Descent, we've escaped the prison and reached the Cistern Entrance that Alexander used for transporting prisoners. However, the sewers below must be drained before we can get any closer to Alexander. So first we must climb up to the rooms adjacent to the Entrance, and lower the two bridges that connect the three paths. One bridge proves to be a simple lever to lower, but the mechanism for lowering the other is non-functional, so we'll need to track down and repair that as well. In the Control Room we find the bridge machinery, and make the two sides symmetrical, but the bridge refuses to lower. So instead I sniff around the Cistern itself, where Daniel manages to drain the water from the sewer. But we'll still need to fix the bridge, because the sewer is infested with toxic fungi that we need protection from. After finding and repairing the steam pipes I missed earlier, the bridge is lowered and we gain access to the Morgue.
