3,105So... I have a theory right now that we are about to head into the worst yet best 6-8 months in the history of Escape from Tarkov. Basically I think BSG are going to torpedo the game, however that torpedo will sink the ship and when that ship hits the bottom it will hopefully turn into a beautiful coral reef. Metaphors aside I think this is a good thing but it will be rough for a while. Especially when the game might be borderline unplayable and all the content creators can't stream it so they go on a new streak of hating on it, which they'll be justified in doing, but I think we crawl out of it in the winter. This game was not built correctly at the start back in 2015, it's core is bad, really bad. BSG are going in and tearing that out to make this the best it can be. To be clear with the confirmed information we have is the content of these patches in the roadmap and Nikita himself saying they plan to have a couple patches in the month of May thats fact, the rest is my theory. Although I do sometimes get a hand from BSG and occasionally get to talk to Nikita or other members of the team, I do not work for BSG. I also work entirely off public information and past experiences of working in game dev myself, as well as following this game closely for several years. Unless I state very clearly otherwise, the information you're about to hear should be taken as speculation. You can either get no information or speculation, that's all we have to go off of these days unfortunately which is why it's easier to just say Thursday whenever anyone asks for dates. If you want hard facts and dates you won't get them, period.
