This plot is about reality and introduces an explorer "Percy." A Geographical society selects him for a mission to the Amazon forest. Moving to those dangerous forests was a huge risk. However, "Percy" accepts the challenge and decides to begin this. He leaves behind his wife and son. He arrives there after a long journey, where he meets with tribesmen and learns more about the gold city, which is still lost. It is told to him that anyone who succeeded in reaching that city never returned but vanished. However, "Percy" does not believe this. After successfully completing his mission in the forests, he returns. Later, he joins the army but vows to explore the lost city of z. His son joins him at this point, and the two set out on an adventure. He indicates if a compass points back to the company's owner, who assigned him this mission. It will indicate that they are still alive. Many years later, Percy's wife discovers the compass, but "Percy" and his son never return, leaving everyone in a state of mystery.
