32The Lost Files of Sherlock Holmes: The Case of the Serrated Scalpel is a 1992 DOS based PC adventure game from Mythos Software, Inc. and published by EA. The story follows famed detective Sherlock Holmes as he investigates the murder of a young actress. Joined by his reliable friend and partner in Dr. Watson, the two discover this isn't the work of Jack the Ripper but a far more complex case with many layers and characters. Well written and animated, this is an underrated PC adventure game from the early 90's.
In part 1, Holmes is summoned by Inspector Lestrade to help investigate the murder of a young actress by the name of Sarah Carroway outside of the Regency Theater. Watson joins Sherlock on the case at his request and the two head to the scene of the crime. After checking out the body and questioning a couple of Sarah's acquaintances at the theater, we test some powder found on the body back at Sherlock's lab.
