The Making of Dread Span - The Ultimate Tailwind + Elusive Boots! 🔥 (Path of Exile Crafting)
81What's up guys, TheAmigoBoyz here and i am FINALLY back with another crafting video! This time we are back in Path of exile to make another amazing item!! This time i present you Dread Span Two-Toned boots, an amazing pair of boots for any dodge based characters out there!
HOW THE ITEM WAS MADE:
This pair of boots were, as most of the insane GG crafts you see on this sub, made from before the awakener orb hotfix, by having a pair of abyss socket + dodge pair of boots, and then using redeemer's orb with a crafted 3rd suffix to make sure you hit the prefix. When you had this, you could now awakener orb it, while having "suffixes cant be changed", to transfer tailwind onto the base. Now you I an amazing pair of 3t1 suffix boots! Then, the expensive part began, "The metacrafting process".
With Elusive having only 250 weighting, it means that this mod is very rare to hit (4x more rare than the regular modifiers like MS and Life etc.), making the craft very expensive on average. (We're talking thousands of exalts to hit 35% MS + elusive). When i hit elusive and slammed 30% MS about 300 exalts in, i knew i had to take it as i wouldnt be able to afford rerolling it.
WHY IS IT SO GOOD?
What makes this item so good, is the combination of Elusive, tailwind and abyssal socket, by far the 3 strongest affixes you can hit on boots. All of these provides an insane amount of offense/defense, giving you the highest bang-per-buck in a pair of boots. For example:
The abyssal socket can give you up to 3 damage modifiers as well as life, in a single suffix!
Tailwind gives you 10% more movement speed as well as 10% more attack/cast speed, increasing your DPS by a ton.
Elusive is an expiring buff on you, that gradually becomes less and less effective, starting out at 20% dodge/spell dodge + 40% movespeed. (on avg this means it gives 10% dodge and 20% MS, give or take)
Along with that, it gives some more movement speed, life and even more dodge! And the reason i chose spell dodge, is because you get 40% dodge, but only 30% spell dodge on the skill tree, so these boots makes that number equal! And generally there are fewer sources of spell dodge in the game (atleast afaik, so i could be wrong heh)
Anyways, i am so happy that i managed to finish these boots today they are truly overpowered IMO
