The Metroid 1 Trilogy - Metroid vs Zero Mission vs Metroid Planets
20Hello and welcome back to the Lore Raider, and another episode of The Raider Speaks. Today we will be talking about Metroid 1 . . . and Metroid 1 . . . and Metroid 1. You see, some time ago I watched a video about the Metroid 2 Trilogy, where the video maker, link in the description, discussed the original Metroid 2 Return of Samus and what it did for game design, before detailing what it’s remakes, the official nintendo remake Metroid 2: Samus Returns as well as the fan remake Another Metroid 2 Remake aka AM2R did to improve upon the original. And so in the spirit of that video I am going to be looking at the original 1986 metroid and it’s mechanics, gameplay and atmosphere, and look at how it’s two remakes, the official Nintendo remake of Metroid Zero Mission, and the fan remake of Metroid Planets to find out which game does what part better, why it does it better and hopefully allow my viewers to decide for themselves which version of Planet Zebeth they’d rather revisit for themselves.
