The Mid-air Jumping Bug in Crystalis (NES) - A Wild Glitch Appears! #shorts
0In Crystalis for the NES, there are certain sections of certain dungeons that require you to traverse a large pit, and many of these pits have floating platforms that will slowly take you across this otherwise impassable hole. However, this glitch which is usually called "moonjumping" will allow you to otherwise impass them. I know that's not great English, but I've had a fever for four days so my head isn't working leave me alone!
To perform the Moonjump glitch, you must first equip the Rabbit Boots since they are the best item and are great.
All you need to do is jump into one of these pits and jump again the very frame your character "lands" in mid-air. If you jump into the pit and let your character fall, you will notice he pauses for maybe a frame or two in mid-air before the game sends him downward to the floor below.
So, if you jump during that mid-air pause, you can get an additional jump when you aren't really supposed to. With perfect timing, you can jump all the way across these pits and you won't have to wait for the moving platforms. This trick is mostly suited for TAS runs, but they are humanly possible as well. It may behoove you to try this trick when there are multiple enemies/objects on screen to increase lag?
