For as long as it’s existed, the MMORPG market has been full of cutthroat competition.

Over the years, games have come and gone, flashed in the pan, and died in the shadows, but through it all, one thing has remained constant: World of Warcraft. While every now and then, a new MMORPG is touted as the next “WoW killer” none have been able to actually get the job done.

Of course these days the story is much more different, but back then competing with WOW was all that mattered. In 2014, there was one game that many considered a serious contender to actually dethrone the king, but through trials and tribulations, it was unable to meet the potential of its vision. Becoming instead another relic in the crypt of Massively Multiplayer titles, WoW claimed another.
