As of July 2021, over 34.2 billion cards had been sold worldwide.

Pokémon Trading Card Game. What is it actually?
A "Pokémon Trading Card Game" is the loose English translation. But what exactly happens with the cards during battle? So let's try to lift the veil...
The main goal of the TCG, like the games, is to defeat the opposing Pokémon. However, not every player has six Pokémon and a ton of items, but an entire deck of 60 cards. It contains Pokémon, Energy cards, and so-called "Trainer" cards, which come in different types. But more on that later. As mentioned, the goal is to defeat the opposing Pokémon. You can attach one Energy card to one Pokémon per turn. Each attack has a number of Energy cards you need to use to perform that attack. But there are many more than you think. The game is quite complicated at first.
Energy Cards
The Pokémon cards are the main cards in the game. You can use them to attack.
There are eleven different types, some of which differ from the games:
