Elden Ring is an excellent game. Would highly recommend it. There seem to be performance issues on PC, but you can probably lower the graphics settings enough for it to not be an issue. I have very good specs, and I still get the occasional freeze (during cutscenes, mostly, oddly enough.)

FAQ (some minor spoilers ahead):
Where do you find Erdtree Greatshield?
It drops from one of the dual Tree Sentinels in the Capital City Outskirts. You can lure out the southernmost one, I believe, and fight it one-on-one. I'm told you can get to this area without killing any bosses first.

Where do you find Fire's Deadly Sin?
It is on a corpse in a chair at the southeastern cliffs of Windmill Heights, but first, you need to find a painting at Fortified Manor, First Floor in west Lyendell.

How do you scale the damage?
I'm 90% certain it's only the upgrade level of the shield, not the Faith or Strength stats, so you can minmax very nicely.
