Bruce Willis, the 67-year-old American actor, has been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD), according to a statement released by his family on Thursday. The statement revealed that the news is painful, but it is a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis. Willisโ family, including his wife Emma Heming Willis, ex-wife Demi Moore, and his daughters, had previously disclosed his diagnosis of aphasia in 2022, a medical condition that affects his cognitive abilities. Frontotemporal dementia is an umbrella term for a group of brain disorders that primarily affect the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain.
