The "Neon Jump" glitch in Mega Man X2 - A Wild Glitch Appears! #shorts
In Mega Man X2 for the SNES, there's a trick you can perform that essentially allows you to gain an extra jump in mid-air. It's called the Neon Jump and it works like this.
First you will need the Mega Buster Upgrade and the Dash Boots Upgrade. When you have these items, do the following steps:
Charge your Mega Buster so that X has two charges stored. Then release the first charge so that X is emitting that high pitched annoying sound. Now, jump and use your Mid-Air Dash, and before this Mid-Air Dash ends, hit Jump and Shoot at the same time. If you've done the Neon Jump correctly, X will jump an additional time in mid-air. Like a double jump of sorts.
I imagine this is a useful speedrun trick for certain sections, especially in a 100% completion run. Probably useful for getting the Shoryuken.
