The New 2021 Nissan Armada Full-Size SUV Specs, Interior & Features
The 2021 Nissan Armada comes with an extensively reworked exterior and a much needed interior upgrade that includes the elimination of the lethargic infotainment system to make way for a new 12.3-inch infotainment system. Powered by the same 5.6L V8, the Armada for 2021 will carry forward the same off-roading zeal as before. Plus, Nissan also employs a Midnight Edition Package with the 2021 Armada SL variant. With the release date set for the End of 2020, Prices have been bumped up and the 2021 Nissan Armada now starts from an estimated MSRP of $48,900.
Essentially the Nissan Patrol for the American market, the Armada is the big daddy of Nissan SUVs. Now for 2021, with the release date set for sometime around the End of 2020, the thoroughly redesigned Nissan Armada, shares its underpinnings with the Infiniti QX80, a distant cousin. This big daddy gets an array of updates for 2021 and most of them are on the outside, with a reworked front, which includes a new front grille and new LED headlights and the rear fascia which now houses a redesigned taillight fixture.
The Nissan Armada for 2021, apart from having seen some thorough changes made to its exterior front, which include the redesigned LED headlights, that now adopt a split-design seen on other modern Nissan offerings and taillamps, also gets a number of updates on the interior too. The interior of the 2021 Nissan Armada gets a couple of technological advancements, such as new digital displays and a new 12.3-inch infotainment system, which now employs wireless Apple CarPlay. With such a package on offer, the 2021 Armada surely gives the likes of Chevrolet Tahoe, the Ford Expedition, and the Toyota Sequoia a run for their money.
Powertrain duties of the 2021 Nissan Armada are taken care of by the same potent and trusted 5.6L Endurance V8 engine, which puts out a massive 400 hp. This also helps the 2021 Armada to not only carry its own weight easily but also have an 8500 lbs towing capacity without much hindrance. This best-in-class towing capacity is actuated by a new Trailer Sway Control and a Brake Controller for the first time. Safety also takes a front seat in the 2021 Nissan Armada, with the latest updated Nissan Safety Shield 360.
2021 Nissan Armada will technically be a major carryover from 2020. But it will be notably updated on the outside as well as in terms of feature options. The 2021 Armada will be powered by the same 5.6L V8 from last year but gets a considerable bump in power along with a new 9-Speed automatic transmission. The trim lineup is also carried forward into 2021 in a similar manner.
Other notable updates for the 2021 Armada include more standard safety features than the 2020 Armada, reworked front and rear fascia with new LED headlamps and taillamps. But what remains the same will be its sheer size and road presence that gives a good run for the likes of Chevys and Fords of this segment. It will also get a newly designed 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment display with both wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
