STORY AND SETTING
In The Occultist, paranormal investigator Alan Rebels travels to the mysterious island of GodStone to discover the causes of his father's sudden disappearance. Although he has mentioned the island several times over the decades, all Alan really knows is that his father was born and spent his childhood there.
However, Alan does not travel alone. He takes with him his mystical pendulum, an object of unknown origin that has always accompanied him on his paranormal investigations. As he explores the streets and buildings shrouded in thick fog, seemingly the only thing left on the mysterious island of GodStone, one thing becomes clear: this case will be unlike any other.
GodStone was inhabited until 1950 by an infamous and macabre cult responsible for disturbing experiments and cruel rituals. Since then, no one has set foot on the island - until today. Using his paranormal talents, Alan must interact with the lost souls who seem to linger in the streets and eerie buildings of GodStone; or avoid them at all costs if they become dangerous.
As a paranormal investigator, this is nothing new to Alan Rebels. However, the mysterious GodStone and the attempt to find answers to his father's disappearance test Alan's abilities. More than any other investigation, GodStone shakes Alan's beliefs about what is possible in the world of the occult. Perhaps GodStone hides a curse that can be broken... but is it wise to do so?
