The Outer Worlds [PS4] #017, Auntie Cleo's Underground Lab
This is video #017 in my gameplay series of The Outer Worlds for the Sony PlayStation 4. The Outer Worlds is rated M for blood and gore, intense violence, and strong language.

Previously, the party explored two Auntie Cleo facilities in the Roseway Gardens region. First, they explored the old Auntie-Biotics Lab south of Roseway and rescued Jameson for the side quest "By His Bootstraps". Then, they explored the Storage Facility to the east. For the companion quest "The Cleaning Machine", they found the Acid Steeper to repair SAM, the cleaning robot on the Unreliable. For the side quest "Vulcan's Hammer", they found Orson's FORCE Pistol Schematics. Finally, they traveled south to the Covert Lab. In this video, they will explore this facility for the side quests "By His Bootstraps" and "The Doom That Came to Roseway".
Roseway Gardens:
The party resumes just outside the main entrance to the Underground Lab in the south of the Roseway Gardens region. Auntie Cleo sure did an amazing job making it covert. The party heads inside.
Underground Lab (time 2:02):
The party starts in the unattended lobby of the lab. In the lounge beyond, though, they meet Porter, the head of security. If the party says that Anton sent them, he will tell them about the Outlaws and Raptidons in the facility. Porter points out that the terminal in his office can make keycards. Sounds useful.
The party heads east from the lounge and begins exploring the facility.
After a battle, Davilas is promoted to Level 14. He allocates his skill points. He puts his perk point into Scanner, which provides a 20% bonus to headshot and weak spot damage while in Tactical Time Dilation.
The jail is to the east. The party can lockpick open the containment cells individually, or they can hack the terminal to open all the cells at once. In the southwestern cell, they find a Book, a collectible for the Unreliable. There is a Workbench in the armory east of the jail. The party uses it to repair their gear.
Southeast of the lounge, the party heads downstairs to the lower level of the facility. In and around the break room in the southeast, there are Outlaws and a Scrap Automechanical.
There is a storage room south of the break room. The party picks up a Sedative Gas Canister. If they find all three of these, they can put the Raptidons in the facility to sleep. A locked door in the west of this storage room leads to a closet with a second Sedative Gas Canister.
Northeast of the break room, the eastern door leads to Anton's Office. The party examines Anton's safe, but it has been forced open and raided. For "The Doom That Came to Roseway", this concludes the objective to find Anton's safe. The next objective is to recover Anton's data.
The party also reads the messages on Anton's terminal. Wow, Anton's project director is someone I would not care to work for.
The locked door leading north requires a lockpick skill of 20 or greater or Porter's Office Keycard. The party lockpicks their way inside. They use his terminal and print a Covert Lab Security Keycard. There are plenty of things to find in Porter's lockers. I'm sure he won't mind, as long as we get rid of those Outlaws.
In the room southwest of the break room, the party finds the third and final Sedative Gas Canister. They can now put the Raptidons to sleep.
As the party continues down the hall west of the break room, the Outlaws' leader, Cassandra O'Malley calls to them. The party ignores her for the moment.
They go south and find Vaughn's Lab. There is a "Signed Note" on the floor in the northeast of this room. The author, "Gary", does not sound friendly.
The party operates the terminal in the west of the room. They can complete the experiment or purge the sample; the latter option won't benefit anyone. Or, with a Science skill of 50 or greater, they can recalibrate the experiment. They choose to recalibrate it. This yields two vials of Raptidon Musk rather than just one. This concludes the objective to deal with the abandoned experiment for "The Amateur Alchemist". The next objective is to speak with Vaughn. Also, for "The Distress Signal", this concludes the objective to acquire Vaughn's research. The party can take the Raptidon Musk to Vaughn or to Gladys.
