Previously, the party travelled to Scylla, an asteroid. For "Solution Vital", they rescued Captain Irion from some Outlaws. For "Weapons From the Void", they found another science weapon, the Mandibular Rearranger, at the Abandoned Mining Outpost. They also checked out the abandoned Circus Time Freighter. They returned to the Groundbreaker to conclude "Solution Vital". Now, they will get started on Gladys's side quest "The Distress Signal" and go to Roseway, another region of Terra 2. But first, they will go back to Scylla, where there is a collectible that they missed previously.
Unreliable:
The party resumes aboard the Unreliable. To start with, they use the navigation terminal to fly back to the Scylla Landing Pad. When they arrive, they disembark the ship.
Scylla (time 2:03):
The party heads northwest to the Circus Time Freighter. They clear out the respawned Outlaw gang on the platform. West of the ruined space ship, the party picks up the Colorful Lights quest item at the shelter.
Afterwards, the party returns to the Unreliable.
Unreliable (time 6:37):
The Colorful Lights wind up in SAM's janitorial closet. The Tossball collectible winds up in Felix's cabin.
The party found some pretty good weapon upgrades on Scylla. Davilas now modifies and tinkers with them for use in the upcoming area. Afterwards, he stows some unused items in the bin in his cabin.
For "The Distress Signal", Davilas goes to the cockpit. He talks to ADA and asks her to play the distress call. The side quest "The Doom That Came to Roseway" begins, with the objective to investigate the distress call. The Roseway Landing Pad on Terra 2 is now accessible. For "The Distress Signal", the objective to view the distress signal recording is complete. The next objective is to search for secrets in Roseway. Furthermore, ADA advises Davilas to search for three key persons in Roseway.
Davilas uses the navigation terminal to fly the ship to the Roseway Landing Pad on Terra 2. When they arrive, he finds Ellie waiting by the exit door, so he talks with her. She is suspicious of the situation in Roseway.
Afterwards, Davilas exits to the Roseway Landing Pad. He takes Parvati and Vicar Max along. Vicar Max is coming for his technical skills.
Roseway Gardens (time 21:19):
The party gains control on the Roseway Landing Pad in the northeast of the Roseway Gardens region. This area appears to have no land connection to the Emerald Vale.
Some vending machines are located at the base of the landing pad. Davilas picks up some more Mag-Picks, Bypass Shunts, and Heavy Ammo from the Spacer's Choice machine, since his Spacer's Choice reputation earns him a minor discount.
The party follows the road west towards Roseway. Along the way, they come upon some abandoned houses outside the town's wall. A couple of houses can be entered with a sufficient lockpicking skill. Look out for a handful of Raptidons on the side road leading north. The "Old Journal" datapad is in a house along the northbound road. In a locked house near the town wall, the party finds a terminal with some information. The party also finds a Snakeskin quest item on the bed in this house.
After poking around, the party enters the town of Roseway.
Roseway (time 32:15):
Roseway appears to be a smaller town than Edgewater. Just inside, the party talks to Berke the guard for information. The town has suffered a Raptidon attack, but Berke is evasive on the details. The lead scientist, Anton Crane, is in the Comm Center.
The part enters the Comm Center in the west of town. There, they talk to the leader, Anton Crane. As the party talks to him, they agree to go to the lab and recover his vital research ... into diet toothpaste. The objective to investigate the distress call for "The Doom That Came to Roseway" is complete. A few objectives pop up: to find Anton's safe, optionally to eliminate the Outlaws, and optionally to deal with the Raptidons. He would prefer that the party put the Raptidon Mother in his facility to sleep rather than kill her. He gives the party the Anton's Lab Keycard and Anton's Pass Code quest items. For "The Distress Signal", the objective to acquire Anton's research appears.
Anton Crane also asks the party to rescue his protégé, Jameson, from the old lab that is on the way to the current lab. This starts the side quest "By His Bootstraps". The objective is to rescue Jameson.
