2This is video #057 in my gameplay series of The Outer Worlds for the Sony PlayStation 4. This is video 4 covering "Murder on Eridanos". The Outer Worlds is rated M for blood and gore, intense violence, and strong language.

The party is currently working on "Murder on Eridanos", the second DLC expansion. Previously, they explored the employee quarters in the Grand Colonial Hotel. Then, they explored much of the island that the hotel is on. They carried out Dolph McAllister's side quest "The Pool Where Horror Dwelt" and cleaned up the hotel's pool. They also began Lillie Vargas's side quest "Strange Disappearance of a Watchman". They began searching for Evan O'Connell at the Wilderness Checkpoint and at Botanical Operations. Now, they will continue this quest while exploring and investigating more of the Eridanos Atmospheric Complex.
Eridanos:
The party resumes outside the front entrance of the Grand Colonial. Southwest of the hotel, they explore the checkpoint and then take the first part of the bridge to the Purpleberry Orchards.
The party finds the Connector Complex on the island partway between the hotel and the orchards. There, they encounter Marauders with Tamed Canids. After defeating the hostiles, the party finds a few dead security guards and scans them with the Discrepancy Amplifier.
On the ground in the north, they find the body of Security Officer Danvers. Near him, they find the phonograph "Danvers' Nightly Report".
East of Danvers, they find the entrance to a small lair. The safe within requires Lockpicking 105 to open. Within, the party finds the Connector Complex Maintenance Terminal Keycard quest item, among other things. They examine a "Coolant Canister" on a rectangular table. On a circular table, they find a chilling weapon, the Frigidariator.
In the connector complex, the party finds a Workbench. They use it to repair their gear and upgrade the Frigidariator.
There is a building near the bridge to the Orchards. On the building's roof, the party finds another dead security guard to scan with the Discrepancy Amplifier. There is also a safe that requires Lockpicking 45 on the roof.
Inside this building, the party finds the phonograph "SLUG Crew C Work Log". Listening to it concludes the objective to investigate the complex between the hotel and the orchards for "Strange Disappearance of a Watchman". The next objective is to search Room A2, which is in the employee quarters at the Grand Colonial.
Southeast of the building, the party finds a terminal. They can operate it with the Connector Complex Maintenance Terminal Keycard. On it, they find a message and a maintenance log. Near the terminal, there is another dead guard to analyze with the Discrepancy Amplifier.
The party crosses the bridge and finds themselves at a security station on the island with the Purpleberry Orchards. This concludes the objective to travel to the Purpleberry Orchards for the main quest "A Momentary Taste of Purpleberry". The next objective is to find Helen's trail.
The party discovers the Bridge: Orchards to Hotel fast-travel location. They fast-travel to the Grand Colonial Hotel: Front Entrance.
When they reach the hotel, they go inside.
Grand Colonial Hotel (time 20:45):
The party goes downstairs to floor 1/3. With the Discrepancy Amplifier, they analyze the floor panel in front of the door to Room A2. They examine the "Perfectly Normal Floor Panel" and acquire the Room A2 Keycard quest item.
The party opens the door to Room A2. Within, they find a Parasite Spawnling. They take it out.
Inside Room A2, the party examines the body of Evan O'Connell with the Discrepancy Amplifier. This concludes the objective to search Room A2 for "Strange Disappearance of a Watchman". The next objectives are to report to Lillie Vargas and to question Amelia Stillwell.
The party goes upstairs and takes the northern exit towards the Gardens.
Eridanos (time 26:07):
East of the hotel, the party finds the Bridge: Hotel to Pilothouse point of interest. There, they talk to Amelia Stillwell and question her about Evan O'Connell's death. They can get in-depth information with Persuade 105. This concludes the objective to question Amelia Stillwell for "Strange Disappearance of a Watchman". The party decides to leave Amelia be. Now, it is even clearer that they will have to investigate the Purpleberry Orchards.
The party heads to the Luxury Landing Pad and enters the SLUG crew quarters. They check out the Crew Quarters Terminal. They read a few work logs and the lockdown alert. With Hack 105, they can open the safe in the room.
