This is once again just a short update to show that progress is still being made with the project. Over half of the characters have their new skills and the new event that introduces Minamitsu has been added.

Shizuha, Meiling, Marisa, Patchouli, Ran, Reimu, Byakuren, Mystia, Minamitsu, Alice and Chen are the characters that currently have their new skills.

The remaining ones are Eirin, Mokou, Reisen, Sakuya, Tewi, Kaguya, Reisen II and Keine. Additional events will be added as well to allow Minamitsu to be recruited (she's still not available in the game). I still plan to improve a few maps as well and to add a method of fast travel to prevent all the backtracking in the game at the moment.

The Outsider Who Loved Gensokyo is a RPG and visual novel project that I've been working on, using RPG Maker XP. This is a rather simple game that puts an emphasis on the story. The project is meant to have a RPG and visual novel style in different style of plots.

I started the project by focusing on the RPG aspect first, following the adventures of the protagonist and his interaction with the Touhou cast and I've been trying to remain as loyal as possible to the canon. This plot allows to explore Gensokyo and eventually go in Makai to meet Shinki, the heroine of the plot (although there's a lot of alt. endings planned including a playable bad ending). This mode is planned to have a wide cast of playable characters. Currently there's 9 recruitable characters already (Reimu, Marisa, Ran, Chen, Marisa, Alice, Meiling, Byakuren and Murasa) and probably more than twice that planned for the future.
