Version 2.5 Demo: Includes all content from previous demos excluding the final battle with Yukari or Yuuka. Portraits are present in the intro and later in the game. The other portraits will be added in a latter update.
The west hall is shown, it's now possible to invite Patchouli (incomplete skill list), the second item to complete Sakuya's quest can be found, a special dialogue with Remilia is opened and Sakuya becomes possible to recruit (will be added in the next official demo).
The Outsider Who Loved Gensokyo is a RPG and visual novel project that I've been working on, using RPG Maker XP. This is a rather simple game that puts an emphasis on the story. The project is meant to have a RPG and visual novel style in different style of plots.
I started the project by focusing on the RPG aspect first, following the adventures of the protagonist and his interaction with the Touhou cast and I've been trying to remain as loyal as possible to the canon. This plot allows to explore Gensokyo and eventually go in Makai to meet Shinki, the heroine of the plot (although there's a lot of alt. endings planned including a playable bad ending). This mode is planned to have a wide cast of playable characters. Currently there's 9 recruitable characters already (Reimu, Marisa, Ran, Chen, Marisa, Alice, Meiling, Byakuren and Murasa) and probably more than twice that planned for the future.
