Giant Squid's The Pathless is an indie action-adventure video game released by Annapurna Interactive. On November 12, 2020, the game was published for Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, macOS, and iOS.
The Pathless is an action-adventure video game that is played in third-person. The player takes control of the Hunter, who must discover a method to break an island's curse. The hunter is a very skilled archer. She must use her bows and arrows to shoot talismans strewn throughout the environment, filling the Hunter's dash metre and allowing her to move around the game's globe quickly. She is also joined by an eagle friend who may soar with the player. While carrying the Hunter, the eagle loses height, however it may restore altitude by beating its wings.
The game does not include a mini-map, unlike other open world games. In order to locate places of interest, players must employ "Spirit Vision." Players will gather crystals as they explore the game's universe, which may be utilised to improve the eagle's skills. The hunter is pursued by formidable cursed spirits that want to separate her from her eagle throughout her quest. Through stealth, players must avoid alerting them. Players must return light to the obelisks strewn around the game's globe in order to weaken the curse spirits and vanquish them. When players are vanquished by the cursed spirits, they will lose the crystals they have gathered.
