Scarlet Nexus (stylized as SCARLET NEXUS) is a forthcoming action role-playing game created by Bandai Namco Entertainment and published by them. It will be available on Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X and Series S on June 25, 2021.
A psionic hormone was found in the human brain in the far future, giving humans extrasensory abilities and altering the world as we know it. Deranged mutants known as Others began to fall from the skies with a hunger for human brains just as mankind was approaching this new era. Extreme measures were needed to combat the overwhelming danger and save mankind because it was impervious to traditional assault tactics. Psionics, or those with acute extrasensory talents, were our last hope of fending off the attack from above. Psionics are still scouted and recruited to the Other Suppression Force (OSF), humanity's final line of defence, until this day.
Scarlet Nexus is an action role-playing game in which the player takes on the role of a third-person character. Players can take control of Yuito Sumeragi or Kasane Randall, members of the Other Suppression Force (OSF), who are entrusted with defending New Himuka against the Others. Both Yuito and Kasane have the power of psychokinesis, which allows them to fling items and trash at hostile foes while armed with short-range weaponry like a sword. The "brain map," which acts as the game's skill tree, may be used to improve the protagonist's abilities. As the game progresses, players will meet new party members who will aid them in fight. Each companion has their own distinct combat abilities, which the heroes may learn through a skill called "brain link."
