You've no doubt seen these big mysterious orbs around Gerudo Town in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. For me, I went the longest time without doing this quest and getting the answers, until now. And here's a video that goes over the strange orb balls around Gerudo Town, and the quest involving them!

It begins with Rotana, who is first in need of photos of the different slabs or stela around the Gerudo Town Shelter. This is part of the Heroines' Secret side quest in Tears of the Kingdom. Rotana can be spoken to and this quest can get going once Gerudo Town has been saved, and you'll be looking around the shelter for monuments. This is no doubt where you find one of the mysterious Gerudo orbs, and it is at Rotana's feet. Once you complete the photos and the Heroines' Secret side quest, she gifts the orb and you'll need to gather others and begin The Mysterious Eighth quest. Many orbs you might be able to quickly find, including some left in the Gerudo shelter, but you might need a Tears of the Kingdom guide to go over a guide on the Mysterious Eigth quest and the remaining orb. One on top of a building buried in sand, one even in Kara Kara Bazaar as a reward from two guys for helping save the third of them. This is the Lost in the Dunes quest. But once you gather them all, go back and place them on statues and Rotana and you will find the mysterious eighth in a brand new secret room.

You'll take his huge orb to the North Gerudo Ruins and drop it at the northern Gerudo Sanctuary door, which will open and allow you to progress. The final room after weaving around down there will be the Statue of the Eighth Heroine Room. The writing there talks about how the Eighth Heroine is actually a voe, and that's the breakthrough of the century. Returning back to Rotana with this news will mark the end of the quest, she will run off to write about this archeological bombshell, and you'll not only be rewarded with a diamond, but the satisfaction of finally knowing the purpose of the monuments, the orbs, the secret rooms, and more lore in the Tears of the Kingdom game.
