Hello everybody and welcome back to The Mystery Channel! I'm your host Mr_E, and since I randomly decided to read a poem for my last video I thought I'd do another one to help celebrate my favorite month!

The following poem is by the illustrious Edgar Allen Poe, who is arguably one of the most famous and influential poets ever to exist.

Originally published in 1845, The Raven tells the story of a distraught lover mourning his lost Lenore, when a strange and seemingly supernatural creature enters his home and begins to taunt him throughout the night.

It is not the longest or most complex poem ever written, but it is chillingly memorable and fits perfectly with the spooky October atmosphere.

Once again there are a few mistakes here or there, as well as an obnoxious neighbor revving his engine at some point - but I hope that I've done a decent job nonetheless!
