Hello everybody and welcome back to The Mystery Channel! I'm your host Mr_E and I'm back again with another bit of poetry reading.

The following short-poem is by the beloved American author and poet: James Whitcomb Riley, sometimes known as "The Hoosier Poet" - and is a perfect little piece to help get into the harvest mood.

Riley was very well known for the distinct way in which he worked the local dialect into his poems, often choosing to spell out words the way they sounded phonetically - instead of focusing on grammatical accuracy.
