Lots of people search for easy ways to rank up in Rocket League so they can tell their friends about how good they are, play at a higher level of gameplay, or just straight up feel good about achieving something. Unfortunately, there really isn't any easy way to rank up. But that doesn't even matter, because your rank doesn't really reflect your skill anyway. You probably massively disagree with me about that right now but hear me out. This video explains why I think ranks in Rocket League are just a general idea about someones skill and don't really tell how good someone actually is at Rocket League. The rank system in Rocket League is pretty confusing. In this video, I explain how the rank system works and why it's so much harder to rank up when you play with friends in a party. Solo queuing is so much easier to rank up because you basically gain and lose a fair amount of mmr. When you play ranked in a party, you lose way more mmr than you gain because of the weird mmr system. Rocket League ranks are basically just a cool way of measuring mmr. If you want to rank up in Rocket League, you'll probably have a better chance of doing so if you solo queue. I think you'll get better WAY faster if you play in voice chat with your teammates but if all you care about is ranking up, solo queuing is the method for you.
