To make this little video, I took the top off of my VCR and poked at it while it was playing. Putting my fingers to the play head, squeezing the tape, grabbing the tape, etc. Don't worry, I was doing this with my crappy last-gasp VCR and DVD combo machine, not my nice one.

If you turn on the captions, you can see how messed up they get when messing with the tape. Since the captions are stored in a line of video that is off-screen, messing with the tape messes up the captions as well. I haven't manually edited them at all, these are the captions straight from the tape.

Also, would anyone help me to recognize what show this is? It was just the first thing recorded on the tape. I know it's from the Speed channel, but that's it. Thanks!
