Following The Expert Challenge, arms manufacturers across New Eden are seeking more data from which to improve their weapons of war. Looking to cast a wider net from which to acquire data, they have collectively gathered to offer Mercenaries of New Eden an opportunity to improve themselves by engaging in widespread destructive data mining.

From 11:00 UTC 19 September to 11:00 UTC 22 September, if the total number of clones destroyed in Public Contracts reaches one million, then every active character during that period will receive one million skill points. Additionally, if the one million mark is reached before the 21 September 11:00 UTC, then a stretch goal of another one million skill points for one million clones destroyed will be available. What is more, having an active skill booster running during the event will grant a bonus on the base skill point reward.

A few notes and conditions:

Only clones actually destroyed are counted in public contracts, and not deaths. This means that if you kill someone that is revived, and then kill them again, this only counts as one destroyed clone, not two.
Clones killed by friendly fire are not counted towards the total. Shooting your friends in the back is junk data.
Active characters for this event are defined as any character that plays and completes at least 10 matches during the event period.
Active skill boosters will grant bonus skill points for the base goal, but not the stretch goal.
To receive the bonus skill points from an active skill booster, your active skill booster must be active before downtime on 20 September. Please note that the length of the booster does not affect the bonus, and it does not need to remain active for the full duration of the event.
To qualify for the stretch goal, a total of 1,000,000 clone deaths must be reached by 23:59 UTC on 20 September.
