Survival horror games are some of my favorite. From Resident Evil to Silent Hill, from Clock Tower to Fatal Frame, there's a lot of great survival horror games out there. But the genre of survival horror has changed a lot. Survival horror games from around 1996-2004 are very different from the survival horror games that came after this period. Today I discuss what happened to the golden age of survival horror and what lead to the different horror games that we see today.




Games like Resident Evil Remake, Resident Evil 0, Silent Hill, Silent Hill 2, Silent Hill 3, Silent Hill 4, Clock Tower, Fatal Frame, Parasite Eve, and others are the games that defined the golden age of survival horror.
