Hope for Silent Hill: A comparison of Resident Evil and Silent Hill
99Is a Silent Hill remake possible? Or even just a new Silent Hill game? With every new Resident Evil remake that comes out, I can't help but wonder if Konami will look at Capcom's success and decide to try competing with it. There was once a time when Silent Hill and Resident Evil were the best of the best in survival horror. In a lot of ways, they were kind of like cousins, and the two game franchises shared a lot of the same fan base. Today, it seems that sadly only one of these two has survived, with Silent Hill being left on the wayside. But could that change? What if Konami had a change of heart? Today, I will analyze how Resident Evil and Silent Hill are strangely related, and discuss how the success of RE 2 and RE 3 remake might possibly tempt Konami to come back. Remember, this is all just me basically daydreaming. I'm not saying for sure that any of this will happen, just... what if it did?
