The Minecraft Marketplace was introduced to Minecraft before Minecraft Bedrock even became a thing, and to this day it's still one of the most controversial things in the Minecraft community. There is a side that argues that the marketplace is good because it helps map creators make money off of their passion. The other side however says that the Minecraft Marketplace is nothing more than a cash grab by Microsoft to make you pay for things that are way overpriced. Both sides' arguments are equally reasonable, but there's no denying that there's been a significant decline in the quality of content on the marketplace since back when it was released. Today we’re going to look at the rise and fall of the Minecraft Marketplace, and where it stands now, let's get into it.
