The Sad Demise of NASCAR’s First Star
This video tells the tragic story of NASCAR's first superstar, Lloyd Seay. Seay was a moonshiner and bootlegger from Georgia. With help from family members Raymond Parks and Roy Hall, became a star in the burgeoning stock car racing scene as a teenager in the 1930s. Unfortunately for Seay, that same family that helped him pursue his passion ultimately became his undoing. In this video, we go through the origins of stock car racing, Seay's rise to prominence, and his sad end.
