In 2013, with the release of the PS4, EA launched their soccer sim, Fifa 14 for the console. They also released it on the PS3, but most surprisingly, Fifa 14 was also released on the PS2. It would be the final Fifa game released on the PS2 (though not the last game released on the PS2 overall).

Today I compared the graphics in each of these games while talking about the big picture concept of what Fifa 14 means for gaming. It means improvements between consoles don't happen on release day. Though the PS4 is more powerful, at launch, this game still looked better on PS3. When you look back at early PS3 games and compare them to the games that came out closer to the end of the console, you really get an idea how far a console can come in one generation. So why rush to buy the console on launch?
