The Scarlet Moon Moves From West to East (Touhou-style Original)

As we explored the narrow corridors of the shop, Maribel bumped into one of the bookshelves and a particularly large book fell in front of us.
When it landed open, a small black kitten with two tails came out.
She didn't even know what to think of it. She happened to recognize where the kitten was from.
Not too long thereafter, the kitten began to flee.
"Merry, you need to be aware of your surroundings," I explained to her.
"I think we should go after that cat," Merry replied.
We went in pursuit. While I was faster, Merry had to move slower to make sure she doesn't bump into another bookshelf.
Eventually, I find another book on the floor from the same shelf it fell from.
The book had a red crescent moon on it. Once I open it, the kitten showed back up. I immediately clutched it with my hands and away from my body.
I asked Merry to bring the other book to me while I held it.
Once she brought me the book, the kitten began to squirm out of my hands.
The kitten fell back into the pages and I slammed the book shut.
I placed both books back on the shelf. Something then popped into my mind.
I composed this theme to commemorate the second of two lunar eclipses of this year. The first one was earlier this March in the Western Hemisphere, and now the second one is in September, but for the Eastern Hemisphere. I may also be arranging this theme for Reverie of Breaking Unreality at some point. That said, I never used an oriental motifs or instruments. I just threw down whatever I could find.
