The Secret of Monkey Island (1990) Introduction in BEAR-O-VISION™ (MS-DOS) (4K)
The bear absolutely loves this game, as do most adventure game enthusiasts, but I have to say.. it's not one of my favorites.
The Secret of Monkey Island, released in 1990, is a classic point-and-click graphic adventure game developed and published by Lucasfilm Games (later known as LucasArts). Set in the Caribbean during the age of piracy, the game follows the humorous and swashbuckling tale of Guybrush Threepwood, a wannabe pirate with a dream to become a mighty buccaneer. Tasked with overcoming a series of comical challenges, puzzles, and engaging in witty dialogues with quirky characters, players guide Guybrush through the fictional Monkey Island in pursuit of the beautiful Governor Elaine Marley and the notorious ghost pirate LeChuck. The game, renowned for its clever writing, memorable characters, and innovative use of the SCUMM game engine, offers a delightful blend of humor, puzzles, and exploration, establishing itself as a timeless classic within the adventure gaming genre.
